Friday Octopode challenge- Flowers

This weeks theme of at TOFF is flowers. I must admit I have been getting a little bored of just making cards and tags so I decided to do something a little more different. I decided on making myself a permanent bunch of flowers for my home.

I used the digi 'How does your garden grow' for this challenge and just printed out the variety of flowers on a mixture of different 6x6 papers I have. It was a little tricky at first but I soon got the hang of what I needed to do with the printer settings (along with help from the boyfriend.)

I then collaged the flowers and made them more 3d by using foam pads. After this I then got my white and green straws to use for the stalks. I fished out a masons jar filled it with blue tissue paper at the bottom to look like water.

To finish it off I just added a little 3d butterfly I had lying around for ages! It has definitely started to make it feel like spring in the home.

Now the explaining is over all you have to do to enter is visit The Octopode Friday Challenge blog by this link and enter your own themed card, tag or something a little out of the box with the theme of flowers. If you use Lilys designs you get entered twice! The winner chosen by Lily will then get a choice of 3 free digis!

Have fun with this challenge and Spring will soon be on the way!

Retro Fashion Shoot

Well wednesday I planned to get all my photographs done for my project in one day and successfully I have achieved just that and I love them every single one! But first curtosy of the boyfriend I will show some little behind the scenes of day. The first lot is at Acton Scott historic farm

We first drove to Acton Scott Farm which I absolutely loved and would love to have just a general visit there. I particularly enjoyed all the lovely baby piglets and ducks along with the donkey which was just adorable. Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the lovely baby animals but I do have a picture of a pig enjoying the sunshine.

We then travelled to Arley Railway Station in which I took over 150 photographs within half an hour and they are all pretty impressive and I am impressed with myself.

While doing the photoshoots I thought it would be a good idea as well to take some polaroid shots. Sadly I managed to loose half the images due to the chemical not dispersing but I will show all three anyway and see if anyone has any pointers on how to stop this from happening. By the way the film is from the impossible project so is brand new.

Finally it comes down to the actual photographs. I won't be showing all 8 but I will show you two, one from each location. I would love to get some feedback on them and also if they need more of a retro feel to them.

I will be showing the rest of the images on my new photographic website which I am currently editing still at the moment and should be live within the next week or so. I have decided to call my website Lifes Captured Moments as I feel this is more relevant to my work plus I never liked Jass photography. Hope everyone has enjoyed the sun recently it was nice while it lasted

Summer skirt and goodies

Firstly I'd like to start with the new blogger system basically I am not liking I'd rather it be just like ti was before. Okay now on to the post.

I finished my skirt I planned to make that saturday and within two hours and I just love it. I fell out with the waistband a bit but I redid. However I have decided I am not a big fan of sewing in Zips they are a pain no matter how pretty they are Anyways me and George went for a little sit down by hereford lake and he took some lovely pictures of me and my skirt.

I have had so many comments on it and is definitely going to be an item that has a lot of wear from it. I felt in a rock n roll mood yesterday so was listening to a lot of the Furious a band from Liverpool, UK. You should check them out.

I'm just loving this weather and I hope it will be like this on my birthday which is in 3 weeks time in which I will be 21. I can't wait for that day. Today I received a little parcel from my mum containing some yummy american candy and a benefit make-up catalogue which I will try at some point today or tomorrow at uni. My mother knows me so well.

I'm not going to stay stuck in the house so I am going to have a nice sit outside while drinking some lemonade and a book.

Nail Art and More spring photos

I am just loving this weather we are currently having at the moment in the UK so warm! I didn't even have to take a jacket out with me today. Because it was so sunny I have some more spring time photos mainly of flowers in my student accomadations back garden.

I haven't painted my nails for a while since one of my nails broke half way down talk about painful. But now it is slowly growing back I have gone back to my usual wearing of nail polish I feel like me again I missed not wearing it. Looking through pinterest I came across a lot of nail art designs and one in particular really stood out for me maybe it is just because of the colour or the bows but I decided to recreate the look.

All 3 nail polishs on by Barry M I have way to many nail polishs by them. Maybe I should do a post on them next we will seen. I have gotten back into doing my crochet and I plan on trying to make a blanket for my room back at home but we will see how this goes as I never seem to finish a big project. Hope everyones enjoying this lovely sunshine and I hope it carries on for the rest of the week as I have some photoshoots planned.
